My brakes squeak when I stop..Maybe the brake line fluid is leaking or something. I dunno. What do y'all think? I will upgrade and get new rotors and ceramic brake pads.

squeek isn't from a leak you can't hear that

squeek is cause your pads might be worn out

just take your wheel off and check your pad wear

i reemember reading a thread about this and it was saying it was normal for the 6gc to have squeaky break and i remember them saying if you don't want it make sure you don't get oem rotors or pads or else they will sill squeak so make sure u get some squeak and dust free breaks!

Braking softly causes your pads to have a fine surface that causes squeaking. Try braking hard and it should go away.

Ya my brake pads r really weird. They squeak all the time. I have to brake hard for them not to squeak. Im so pissed. I took my wheels off and the pads r like new and the rotors and totally fine. What pads should i get to stop them from squeakin? but i dont want to spend a lot. Thanks guys. -john

Pads are pretty inexpensive considering how seldom you have to replace them. I'm quite happy with the Raybestos street series pads. They work much better than what the dealer put on.

i really like my green stuff pads and i've gotten into heavy driving and hard braking consitantly and they hold up
but then there are a few members that have had bad experiences with them....

hawks are also known to be a pretty good pad as well

I've actually had 3 separate (non-Toyota) mechanics tell me the same thing about our cars, and so far it's been proven true my brakes squeak like hell with my new pads and were silent before.

From what i can see with the wheel on the pads look like EBC Green stuff pads because the are entirely..... GREEN! Gonna take the wheels of in the near future to check the wear of the pads. Rotors also have to be replace becase the have a lot of deep grooves in them. Still brake hard tho.
