Hello.
So, I am looking for tires and Firestone has a pretty good deal for their brigestone FR380 but the tires only come in 185/70 R14" and my Celica ST has P185/70 R14" can any one tell me whats the difference btw the tire with P in front of the size and one without P. And do you think 185/70 R14" would fit on a wheel that has P185/70 R14" tire on it?
Thank you very much.

After going to HowStuffWorks.com I found out that P stands for Passager tire, but would it really matter if I get a tire with P or one without P?

those tires are directional, meaning the side with the P cannot go on the driver side or it will be very bumpy.

To learn about tires before you spend money on the wrong thing, go to 1010tires.com and read up on their tire tech sections.

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.

Or do what I did, and go down to the local tire dealership, tell em what you want and let them tell you about any compatibility issues. Im riding on some Fulda Assuro's and am quite pleased with the way they handle

The 'P' means it is designed for a Passenger car, there are other codes such as LT for Light Truck ect. Anyone with common sence will know that a truck tire is quite different from a car tire. Don't worrie too much about that letter unless you find yourself infount of some Toyo 45" Mud Terrains and your debaiting if there gonna fit in you Civic or not...
