paid about $3.59 for a 3oz can of candy apple paint, and $4 for clear coat. Did it all in a few hours. i like the result.

first i took the tails out, 3 10mm bolts and unplug wire harness, next i used masking tape all around the tails and used a knife to cut tail shapes, next is sanding, i used 320 grit, then applied layer after layer of the paint, 4 layers i used, waited about 20 minutes in between coats, then i used 600 grit wet sandpaper, dried, used 3 layers of clear coat.
back up lights work fine still. -------------------- |

Do you think you could take a picture with it in reverse so we could see how the lights still work, i like the turnout, looks really clean, im just worried that the back up lights wont be legal. Cops around here are like hawks when it comes to stuff like this.

nope, sanded before i did clear coat.

Anything on those reverse light pics yet, im dying to see if they work well, i really wanna do this mod, i keep coming back to look at your lights and i truley admire the work you did.

i redid my tails because i tried to clear coat them and messed up and i discovered something new about the tails. Can you find out what it is!

nice job it definatly looks better with the clear but I like the black around the lense better than red.
I bet you found out if you drop a tail, it will chip -------------------- |
