Also, I selected these cars bc the rx7, supra and R33 were competeing for sales in their prime and all very compareable. Since you see those 3 cars being big in the tuner scene, the z06 can be a big bang for the buck, same as the MR. Whoever said RX7's are expensive is wrong. You can get an FD for about 13k and a supra for more like 25k. You all know what I say- FD w/ an LS1. It's dominate all those guys. Might have a little trouble with the Z06 and MR in the skidpad tho. I can't wait to throw an LS1 in an FC and start hunting down Supra's. -------------------- NASA/SCCA RX-7....currently under the knife

aight wait yea sorry read that the 9 was the MR but it was that the 9 comes in the MR and so does the 8..
Mitsubishi Motors created the Lancer Evolution IX with more power, in-your-face styling, enhanced comfort and better performance to lure even the most discerning driving enthusiasts. The Lancer Evolution IX is available in stock trim, as well as RS and MR editions sorry about thatt -------------------- |

I said EVO because its turbo AWD (like the GTR I believe) but it has such a better market for parts, and they are cheaper than most.

i love all the cars above but i'll get the R33. simple reason cause it's alot more rare than the others... and another reason cause i've seen the JUN tuned 1000hp skyline R33 GTR lol... but either that or the Supra. EVO 8 MR's fast, but it's just getting tooooooo common nowadays... i see at least 2 Evo everyday.... getting sick of it lol.

ZO6 all the way. Don't get me wrong, the Skyline and Supra are outstanding machines, but give me the torque and powerband of a pushrod V8 any day. Couple that with the fact that the ZO6 can also average up to 30MPG on the highway, and for me, it's a no brainer.
The technology which went into the ZO6 is just as impressive. Hydroformed frame rails, carbon fiber bracing, transverse mounted rear leaf spring setup, it's just an incredible machine. -------------------- |

for me it was between the Z06 and the Supra
i chose the supra because, of the two, it has a removable top insurance is probably boat loads cheaper. -------------------- 1994 Celica GT4 WRC Edition

I would have to go for the Supra, it's tough because I like the Z06 and if it was the C6 I would go for it hands down, but the Supra is a great all around car, it has a modern yet classic style to it and obviously there isn't any stopping a 2JZ and the Getrag is probably the best non racing transmission ever made, even the T-56 in the Z06 can't compete with that. The RX-7 is a good choice but as others have mentioned it's unreliable, I don't care for a car that needs the motor rebuilt every 100,000 miles (unless I deem it necessary, with these cars I probably would) the R33, truthfully I don't know enough about it's characteristics, it's a good looking car but to sedan like for me. The Evo MR, mechanically it's sound, but I also drive a Lancer OZ that has an almost identical interior (with the exception of the steering wheel, seats, and shift knob)as the Evo and it is very cheap feeling.

Since I'm not seriously buying any of these cars right now and reliability wouldn't be my first concern so my choice would be the rx-7, definitely the drivers car of the bunch (minus maybe the evo) except the 7 has a timeless look to it.

The vetter comes targa.. alos the supra would def not be cheaper on insurance. You guys would also want to concider repairs. Some of those cars you'll have to babie and work on all the time. id rather work on it when i want, not when the car needs me to. Also all cost. The mods of a vette would be much cheaper and more bang for the buck. |

I'd take a z06 please, 405HP LS1 just sounds so nice. Cars can be made fast with just a few bolt ons and some nitrous.
Supra's are too played out in Florida and too many pricks drive them. I've met only a few Supra owners that were cool, the rest of the MKIVs think they are the hot ****, and now the MKIII owners are starting to think that too. Domestic guys are funner to hang out with, import guys are too worried about talking **** about each others cars. |

Just to clear up something here. The ZO6 is NOT available as a targa top. It's only available as an FRC (Fixed Roof Coupe). It would be THE bomb as a targa top though.

simple mods can be done to a V8, and you'll see those gains as with a turbo car. To be truthful, depending on the turbo setup and the V8, you usually see better gains from a V8 then a turboed car.
