My car is obviously black. If I picked up a carbon fiber hood, would the finish clash with my gloss black paint job or look good? I am having a difficult time imagining it. Pics would be great if you guys have any that show good detail.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

My friend has a c/f hood on his black probe. You can hardly even notice that its a c/f hood unless ur up close. IMO, c/f hood on a black car doesnt look as good.

If you match it up with some other carbon fiber accents it will look hot. Myabe some splitters or carbon fiber wing. I think black and carbon fiber compliment each other just fine.

Basides CF is a heel of alot lighter than a OEM hood so despite opinion on looks it still is a respectable upgrade.

The reason why it's lighter is mostly because it's fiberglass though...the hood is mostly fiberglass with a layer of carbon fiber over the top. wink.gif

Oh, and that's my amysmojo's car. It looks better in person, when it's actually washed. tongue.gif

im gettin the c one replica hood (if every one would ever pay) on my red car, making my own cf mirors with a brushed aluminum base, carbon fiber gas tank door, and im getting the gt-four spoiler blocks and wrapping those in carbon fiber, i think every thing will look pretty good when i am done, in the end it will be electron blue with all the carbon fiber accents. IMHO i dont like black w/carbon fiber
