It's one of those zen feelings you can only obtain from driving a Celica...it gives you that warm tingly feeling all over your body until you realize...you are one with your 5SFE/7AFE/3SGTE/4AGE/4AGZE/3SGE/3SFE.

Hmmm... I think it just appeared that was at the time. I remember once I was baked out of my mind and thought it would be a great idea to run down to the supermarket for a pack of cigarettes. Man, it sure seemed like I was flyin' along... I am talking Chariots Of Fire kinda stuff, right... I was expecting the soles of my sneakers to burst into flames at any moment... So I am hoofing it across this intersection, and I could've sworn my feet hit the ground, like, once, right... i look over and this old geezer just FLIES past me on the crosswalk on one of those motorized buggy things like you see at grocery stores for handicapped people. Sure took the wind out of my sails, I tell ya. |

well I would have to say some of us just have the touch when it comes to driving... I find it much easier to whiz through traffic at a higher rate of speed, or maybe its just an adrenaline thing no matter how little you might be excited it would effect your perception.

That is how I felt, then one day somethin is goin to happen, your tire may be a little low, you may lose traction.....then you are goin to realize just how fast you are goin....I know from experience. I think maybe your adrenaline gets turned up and you become more focused...dunno though =p

Its actually called Velocitization, when your traveling at high speeds for any amount of time your body and mind adapt, so when your on the high way it seems like your not really going fast when you are, and then when you come off you have to make a conscious effort to bring the speed down. Learned about it in drivers ed.
Mac you could have just had some kind of mental fluctuation. Remember time is all about perception, our whole concept of time is relative to the amount of information our brain processes each moment, maybe your mind went on overdrive and was processing **** too fast so the world seemed to be in slow motion? Some kinda body chemical reaction? This post has been edited by Uppitycracker: Jan 13, 2004 - 4:47 PM |

yea you might be right cause this would also happen to me when i would ride my bike when i would but around 130-40 i just zoned out and i noticed stuff one the road like i could see stuff going on before it happened like i would see cars changing lanes and speeding up and slowing down it was such a rush...
