I think JDM is so over used, everyone is always like "OMG JDM IT MUST BE HOT," it gets annoying, and im sorry, but just because it comes from japan, does NOT make it cool. Anyways, I hate the word....

I dont mind it unless its in a wrong context.

Much like all of aftermarket JDM parts for my Sentra SpecV. Theres really nothing wrong with that except for that the Sentra isn't made in Japan.

But I did see this sweet JDM style Mitsubishi Eclipse the other day, that thing was mad tyte!

People usually don't know what real jdm is. I like jdm oem parts cuz usually they fit better with the car like it was orginally designed.

I could care less... but it's a HIGHLY overrated word. "my car looks JDM" is a poorly constructed sentence once you spell it out... "my car looks japanese domestic market"

I couldn't care less.. think about your poorly constructed sentence .. ha!

If it comes as a Japanese Domestic market (GT$.. err GT4 wink.gif), then sure, JDM heads and tails, etc, if not, then go enjoy a bleach margarita.. =D

The term jdm is used as a verb, so i really dont see how the word itself is annoying- the way stupid people use it is another story

I'm sure you meant adjective which is still not completely correct.
It's an acronym consisting of two adjectives and a noun.
Japanese = adjective
Domestic = adjective
Market = noun
[/english lesson]

As long as it's used correctly I think it's ok. Being used incorrectly is the only thing that annoys me.

ha yes, as you can tell my strong suit was not english ever in my schooling... regardless, the term JDM was never meant to be broken up- its a descriptive term regarding somthing other that what it represents... if you want to b!tch about the "japanese domestic market", it best be about the economy in japan...

when people think JDM they think proformance parts, not stock parts from another county (witch in many cases are the same everywhere, sept your buying it right ouf of japan rather then a local dealer, aka getting ripped off)

remember most the parts in our cars are technicly jdm, its just a select few parts that look diff.
