If you guys can get me some pictures and specs and such.. I might be able to replicate them.. for a lot less.

I work at a machine shop, and I have acess to all machines and if I can't operate it, the people who know how to. I think it'd be a relatively easy laser/plasma cut, then weld a bracket, and find a shock (we have a few hydraulic connections), and they'd be done.

So, if you have some dimensions, specs, material, and any other useful information, I'd like to look into it some more.

Heres some examples of our work:

and the homepage if youre interested:

Material for a hinge.. depends what theyre made out of. If its T6160... but if its AR400 then it'd be a considerable amount more.

I'm guessing its probably just a cheap steel, probably some A516-70 or so forth.

Just the type of stuff I'd like to know..

A shock, think about your car shocks. I saw KYB's for 50 a pair.. how much different are they?

If your friend can do it for $100 why wouldn't he do it now?

There are a few people here that have the kits why not have them measure it out, get all the dimensions and try to build it?

thats what I'm hoping to get, but noones stepped up.

I'm trying to get a general idea of how the "hinge" works, if its even a hinge, or just plates, etc.

I would be interested in it as a final (?) part of my modification project!
How much could be shipping of this thing to Europe? I understand that price of "thingies" is still to be defined.

Tom - http://pe.usps.gov/text/Imm/immicl/immiclnr_020.html gives some info. I have no idea what it will weigh though - depends on material.

Zasper - I think it could be do-able for that price.

playa = will be looking for it. thanks
