in interested in this as well. I remeber test fitting them when i got them and had the same question, but since they are still not installed, i forgot about it. Maybe you should PM some people who have them like Ghost Dog, rza619, chucho, or H8DC3lica94.
Looking at rza619's profile, it looks like he put a bolt at the very end of the extensions: http://www.6gc.net/photo.php?file=/images/...otos/2436_4.jpg also, maybe editing the topic to include something about the Hiro extensions might attract people who have them in here. I didnt come in here for a while though i saw the topic. -------------------- Its Orville's Celica, i just drive it... |

^^ thanks, i'll edit the title...
yeah my extensions have a "hole" there but i'd be drilling right into the metal of the bumper and that doesn't sound right?? whenever i saw it on other cars it always looked like there was nothing there but i've never seen it up close so i can't say for sure anyways, thanks for the input i bought some 3M tape and hopefully that holds, at least for this weekend at the show -------------------- lissa | 1997 Celica Convertible

yeah theres a screw that goes on the end. there was a hole predrilled when I got my extensions from hiro so thats how they are intended to be attached.
also note how the left extension on my car isn't on right. the rivet popped out, gotta get that fixed if you need some pictures of how its attached I'd be happy to oblige |

hey guys, sorry I didn't get to this earlier. didn't check the site last night
anyway here are the pics: 1 - rear attachment point 2 - side attachment point (note that there is another screw further up on the splitter, but its too tight on the body for me to take a picture) 3 - front attachment point in my opinion I don't think the side attachments are necesary. and they are quite a bit of extra work. if the splitter seems to fit flush without too much tugging I would just use double-sided tape |

yeah my fronts aren't perfect either, the gaps are pretty small though. again the shop used screws along the side of the splitter so they are pretty tight. in hindsight I really wish they hadn't though because I don't think I can take my front bumper off

okay now i have a new problem
looks like in the corner that goes around the wheel well, theres a little crack.. my dad accidentally dropped the peice when he was trying to fit it, so the paints a bit scratched and theres this little crack in it (whether thats from dropping it or what i dont know) oh, and yes i gave him **** for it but what can you do... accidents happen anyways.. will this hold up? what shouldi do? i still wanna keep it on, but when i drive is it going to crack even more??? maybe get a body shop to fix it with some more fiberglassing? or should i get a whole new peice... ?? -------------------- lissa | 1997 Celica Convertible

QUOTE(ghostdog @ Jul 22, 2005 - 5:46 PM) can you post a picture of the crack? ill post one tomorrow when i can get a good shot of it looks like it'll hold okay.. have the screw in the back part, and then one in the wheel well (for some reason we couldn't put both on the wheel well.. it didn't fit properly and had a huge gap where the second screw was supposed to go, closer to the bottom... the one with the crack we used some of that 3M tape to make it a bit more firm, so hopefully it holds. i do wanna get it fixed eventually though cuz i'm sure its just asking for problems... but like i said, ill post a pic of it later this weekend when i get home -------------------- lissa | 1997 Celica Convertible
