during your install did you keep the perch (holder for stock spring) or did you completely not use it and went with the coilover perch then the bearings then the cap with the three bolts? and also do you guys notice any sqeaking when turning the wheels? the sqeaking is annoying a lil bit and wondered if you guys can help trouble shoot it, thanks!

I dont know what you mean by "perch" but as for the squeeking try spraying a little WD-40 around the shock (careful not to get any on the breaks) and make sure the sleave is a good snug fit over the shock (wedged over the rubber O's)

what coilover kit did you get? could just take some breaking in for the noise to go away.

nah don't use wd40 that isn't sticki and just runs off.....

you want to get like a bearing grease
and grease the top of your spring and the "top hat" so that it will rotate smoothly (or get a bearing insert from www.evilspeed.com)

playr, the problem that i was having was stated in the other topic i posted before this one. the problem is the installation that is posted on this site shows that you use the top perch of the coilover with the ball bearings. me i used to stock perch that held the spring, so it goes top hat perch of the coilover, then the stock perch that held the spring, then the bearings, then the top with the three bolts. my question is am i suppose to do it that way?

reply back. ohh yea i been running on the GROUND CONTROL and Koni's for about a month, and 3 months previous with just the Ground controls and the stock shocks so i ruled out breaking in. thanks for the suggestions but im just confused on whether to remove that stock spring perch

pnoy,

here's a pic of what your setup should look like. This is a pic of when I removed my GC's. Hope this helps. As for your squeek problem when turning...make sure you lube the bearings as well, also using twisty ties to help secure the aluminum hat will help possible popping/binding noises that you may encounter. Another thing make sure that the shock shaft is properly locked and secured in the groves when you place that top mount back together.
