I dont have those sweet fiber glass skills some of u have....so the other day while I was putting a new front grille in I got this idea to make my own speaker trim to match it...

its not perfect..I know! But daaaamn....its hard trying to cut mesh wire out to match the shape of those things!...I'm trying it out for now....Does it look RICEY to anyone? I was thinking about spraying them black to blend in...cause w/ black u cant see my imperfections lol

I 2nd that.. they look nice, but id suggest using some black plastic seal or gromet to wrap around the edge so it dosnt cut someone. an looks more flush. Good job. Love a girl thats creative with cars

in case you wanted to buy the OEM ones at the dealer
here are the part numbers:

Grille, Speaker

R 64033-20320-C0 $53.79 approx.
L 64034-20320-C0 $53.79 approx.

imo, i'd say they'd look better with a black cloth material cover

ya cutting them out sucked, I have a few scratches on my hands...nothing too bad though. They are pretty flush up against the panel, u just cant tell from the pic...lighting hits the mesh & makes it look all weird...its more even than it looks tongue.gif

but im thinking i will either do what doug said...get some black trim to wrap around the edges & make it blend in more....or paint them black!! what do i wrap around the edges? where do i buy the stuff to do it doug?

hey azian_advanced, a black cloth material for a cover? uuuh what kind of material??

*** oh & I was also planning on making a mesh cover for the front as well since i dont like the ones i have now (aftermarket but i dont like them) but my mesh isnt wide enough to cover the front speaker holes (its short by about an inch & 1/2)

looks good, would be better black. if you made it 1 piece you wouldnt have sharp edges to cover up. Just a thought.

yea black is most likely what i will be doing....

1 piece isnt possible....the mesh isnt wide enough....the outter edge for each side is made up of 2 pieces! (pain in the asssss)

the 2 pieces meet up @ the blue lines:
