Mount cameras and send us pics/vids!
Edit: Oh and find a codriver. As you're walking around town have them walk on your right (or left) and call out turns. This post has been edited by mr_dude: Jul 28, 2005 - 7:00 PM -------------------- |

I would suggest to find a co-driver who is experienced in auto-x for your first few runs just to give you pointers, etc.
Otherwise make sure your tire pressure is all good (I've also seen to raise tire pressure in the front to around 40-45 psi before an auto-x depending on driver preference), make sure your brakes are good, tire tread, etc etc basically a tuneup lol. Definitely don't do it if your car is out of alignment at all but that's common sense. Do you have a helmet? -------------------- 1999 Celica GT

Borrowing a helmet from a buddy. I'm doing the tune up tonight and just making sure everything's peachy. What'd you guys think about tire pressure tho? I'm running 35 psi on 215/45/17's right now. Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3s. Should I drop or raise pressure?

I auto-X my Celica too, I normally remove spare tire, tools, jack, mats, rear carpet and hatch cover. Also I raise the tire pressure to 40 in front and 38 in the back. Make sure your engine oil is fresh and the battery is tie down.
Try to be as early as you can, so you can walk the course many many times until you can close your eyes and run the course in your head. Are you going to run in STS? Good luck and have fun. |

just make sure you have nothing loose in your car, and just be comfortable driving. also make sure the breaks are clean and nice, along with the pressure, and the oil an tranny oil changed. other than that have fun, and enjoy.
