Yesterday I finally finished up a long-term project...my '88 Celica GT. I paid $400 for this car with 132,000 miles on it...it needed a valve cover gasket and a tranny fluid change and new filter, and brakes all around. Now all of that's done, the car has a CD player and power options and everything, and it now has somewhat nice paint and wheels, all for under $1,000, including the price of the car. biggrin.gif

Here are some progress pictures:

And here it is now:

It looks like a 4x4, but it's all good...the rims are coming off shortly and it's going to be my bro's first car when he turns sixteen in less than a month. It should be a good first car for him. smile.gif

Yep, sprayed it myself and did all the work myself. It's John Deere Blitz Black paint, which ran me $26 for a gallon and should be plenty durable. I didn't do a perfect job with the body work as you can see in some of the pics, but it's fine for my bro. wink.gif

You're thinking of the west side...on the east side of the mountains it's usually pretty good weather. Yakima is classified as desert terrain...the irrigation water is the only reason why there are trees here. tongue.gif

LOL... yeah I guess so. Can't deny that it's the best time to take pics though.

Sell them to your brother. They look sick on that car.
