Back from the dead... What is your opinion on comfortable daily driven spring rates? Im looking into ksport coilovers that have 7/392 front and 5/280 rear, seems way stiffer than my tein springs, but the question is: since i have kyb that are not a good match for tein springs, will i feel more comfortable as far as driving over railroad tracks etc. with these coilovers at those spring rates with softest dampening setting? how will comfort of that compare to kybs+teins springs ? Thanks!

Stock Toyota // Front: 2.9kg/mm Rear: 2.3kg/mm QUOTE (CelicaB @ Aug 1, 2005 - 1:24 PM) Tein ST202 S-Tech Springs // Front: 3.9kg/mm Rear: 2.2kg/mm Tein ST205 S-Tech Springs // Front: 4.3kg/mm Rear: 3.7kg/mm Tein SS Coilovers // Front: up to 7kg/mm Rear: up to 5kg/mm Tanabe SUSTEC NF210 // Front 2.9 kg/mm Rear: 2.3 kg/mm Tanabe SUSTEC DF210 // Front: 3.1kg/mm Rear: 2.8kg/mm Tanabe SUSTEC GF210 // Front: 3.5kg/mm Rear: 3.0kg/mm Tanabe SUSTEC Pro S-0C // Front: up to 8.0kg/mm Rear: up to 6.0kg/mm some more info to add: ST205 RSR Spring Rate // Front: 4.0kg/mm Rear: 3.4kg/mm ST205 TRD Spring Rate // Front: 4.4kg/mm Rear: 3.87kg/mm ST202 TRD Spring Rate // Front: 4.1kg/mm Rear: 2.9kg/mm i switched from Tein S-Techs to ST205 RSR springs.. so they're 3% stiffer in the front and 55% stiffer in the rear compared to Tein springs. the rear feels better now, just what i wanted.. now i need a rear strut bar and sway bars and i'm good as far as suspension goes. i need to put some washers now on the rear hatch stoppers to tighten the hatch door to keep the hatch from buzzing from the stiffer ride i'd also like to know where this was obtained: QUOTE Stock = 2.9kg/mm front, 2.3kg/mm rear cuz there are two kinds of stock setup: with sport suspension and w/o sport suspension This post has been edited by azian_advanced: May 5, 2010 - 10:30 AM -------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
