Have painted the inserts for a while now, just took some pics of my interior while taking other pics and looking for comments on it.

Anywhere i should / shouldnt have painted? Good/bad colour choice? I dont mind people saying it sucks, as long as they will tell me how to improve it

I am actually thinking of repainting them to black, not too sure on it. I know its personal preference but I am bias since I am the one that did the work

I am painting my interior now - in general I like this idea (black is too sad). What color did you use? It is hard to say from the picture (silver? white?).

What I would do in your shoes to make it flow is:
- paint panels of window switches and a cover under the gauges
- change gauges to white / silver faces (matching paint color)

As soon as I reassemble my car - I will post some pictures.

BTW - did you paint passenger's vent? That is the last thing I need to paint but can't get it out.

I used silver, will take some daytime pics tomorrow.

As for the passenger vent, yeah i painted it.

Look at http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showto...62&hl=passenger which would give you a good idea on how to take out the vent.

I have thought of changing my gauges to white but can't find any for an automatic. Will paint the window switches soon.

For the gauges check SpeedHut.com - they are the most extensive source of gauges I have seen.
BTW - thanks for the link.

I'm not really a fan of painted interiors...I'd paint everything back black if it was my car, but that's just me. wink.gif

I concur...

I had painted my interior, but then i decided I hated it, and had to go through finding all new interior peices to get it back to the stock black.

it doesnt look bad.. just dont go all out and paint whatever you can silver or whatever color... because too much of one color inside is ugly... im sure theres a few Celica's on here with painted interiors.. you could go through this forum Interior/Audio/Electrical/Wiring section and surely find pics and such... what paint did you use?

i personally like the look of carbon fiber instead of painting the dash. i like how carbon fiber and black dont contrast too much. i agree with the others though and would repaint them black.

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.

Well, I had brushed aluminium kit but it was really disapointing - the match was far from perfect. That is why I have thrown it away and painted dash silver.
