well, my 1200 watt power acoustik amp is taking a crap on me, plus its not even my system, its my girls.
im gonna give it back to her B4 the amp really goes and find me a new system.

what would be the best, but not costly, sub and amp combo?

im looking for just a singe 12" and an amp to push it.

SPL or SQ? Price Range? I've been happy with Rockford Fosgate for budget systems.

i found 2 JL 8w3's for $100 with 2 QLogic boxes.

that a good deal?
if so i might jump on it.

would a Kicker 400.1 class D amp push them fine?

i can also get 2 pairs of *new* 6.5" infinity reference speakers for $40.
would everyhting sound nicely together?

Diamond Audio. D3 12(dual 2 wired at 4) and D3 400.2 (400x1 at 4 ohm) that would sound great for a really resonable price, if not diamond then the new kicker CVRs sound awsome for the money and the 400.1 would be nice to have.

alpine 1222d sub
user posted imagemsrp 170$(150$ at cartoys last time i saw), 300 watt RMS, 900 peak

alpine mrp350 amp
user posted imagemsrp 230$ (200$ at bestbuy, cartoys), 350 watt RMS, 700 peak

dont know what your price range is but this is a nice combo from alpine at a decent price. theres also the type R and X subs if your willing to spend more, but really theres no point in my opinion.

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.

Get a 10" Alpine Type R with the Alpine V12 amp and make your own box for it so the volume requirements are perfect. That sub is amazing when powered and enclosed correctly.

well, i bought the 2 JL 8w0s.
next day my probe got broken into and they stole my Kicker 400.1 amp.
ASSHATS!!!

so now im gonna sell the 2-8w0s and get 2 Kicker Comp 10's and an orion amp.
cardomain has the Kicker Comp 10s for 2 for $90 plus shipping and my friend is selling 2 Orion 225 HCCA amps for $150/ea and 1 Orion 500.5 5 channel amp for $175.

which one would be the best for the Kickers?

do you have components or after market speakers? and whats the ratings on them amps? there is no reason to buy two amps for two subs, that will just draw more current.... Comps are pretty good subs for the cash, so you are good to go there... definately go sealed... but yeah, need to know the ratings on them amps... the reason why i say go with that 500.5 is that if you have aftermarket speakers or components, it will really be nice for them speakers to shine since that amp should put out considerably more than your cd player... this will give you a better array of sound.. but if you just have stock speakers i wouldnt worry about it, unless you plan on replacing them asap.

i have stock fronts and Infinity Reference 6.5 in the rear.

IDK whether to get 2-10s or 1-12. Im just wanting some bass that can rattle my RVM.
The subs and amp i have now flex my hatch glass. REAL BAD.

the 225hcca were 25w x 2 @ 4 ohm stereo , @ 4 ohm ohm mono they were 200 watts, at 2 ohm they are 400 watts and at one ohm they are 800 watts RMS.
