Hey everyone, I thought I'd stop by and let you know that I stayed in the family with my new car. I got a 2000 Celica GT. I decided on the GT because it was cheaper, and I thought that a turbo would be easier on the GT. So right now i've only done a few little mods but I am saving up for a turbo.

Awesome. My cousin has the exact same one except it's an auto. You should get an S2000 or power antenna ASAP lol. Good luck with your future turbo project.

ghostdog i totally agree with you, but its really hard to find a 6th gen with low mileage for a good price around here. I looked for a long time and I couldnt find one under 100k miles in my area..
I love the interior of my new car more, but my old car looked way better.. -------------------- |

Did it come with the altezzas? I'd find some stock tails if you can.

Looks good except for the Altezzas, those are Rice with a capital R. Stock ones are way better.

why does everyone think the old car was better? lol
my new car is in much better condition and runs with no problems. my old car had less aftermarket availability, which I didnt like. I hate the fact that lots of things I wanted for my 6th gen were discontinued and impossible to buy. The 7th gen doesnt look as good, but I think it is a nice car overall -------------------- |

Your new car looks good dude, but I think just about everyone on this site is going to say they like 6 gens more......sorry man, thats just the way it is. -------------------- |

question about the 7th gen headlights.....
So, the bottom lamp is the driving lamp / high beam and the top lamp is the low beam projector? But how come at night, the lower lamp (light off) is just as bright as the projector lamp (light on)?!?!?!?!? And if it's true that lower driving lamp is just as bright as the higher projector lamp, what's the point of switching the lights on at night!?!?!?!? BTW, I really really hate how the 7th gen's window thingy and door lock is located in the middle. This post has been edited by tomazws: Aug 16, 2005 - 5:31 PM -------------------- |

on the bottom of the headlight you have the turn signal in the corner, the driving light bulb and the high beam... on my car the daytime light is just the driving light and the sidemarkers.. at night when u turn on the lowbeam, everything else turns off.
the lower driving light is not very bright at all... my friends 7th gen has his hi-beam on as the driving light as well, but its somehow really dim until you turn the high beams on ... i still dont understand the lighting on this car lol -------------------- |

I like your car. I just wish the dash on the 7th gens wrapped toward the driver like 6th gens...that's my favorite part of my interior.

6th Gen is 110% better looking.
Dont know about handling. But the 7th Celica T sport (192bhp) is slightly faster. I like the front (not as much as 6th gen) but hate the back. As if they forgot to complete it. -------------------- JDM Powerplant installed, BPU coming very soon!
