Everyone here is obviously into hooking up their car. Either people are going for more HP, making their cars look good, or most likely both. But, there's got to be a reason why people make their cars faster. I've noticed that on this site, alot of people are against racing, but they still want to beef up their car. I don't race all that often because of the fear of getting caught, but I still like to race. So, I'm curious what all of you are going for as far as the type of performace that you want to get out of your car.

What do you use your performance for?
1. The andrenaline of excitement 2. The pleasures it can give. 3. A way to show ownage 4. A car to experience and explore 5. To show what others don't know 6. The "Appearance" need its other half to be complete. 7. Your children will someday head this route even if you don't. So don't miss out:) 8. It is a turn on. 9. Under-rated cars may make them bling blingers look like $hit. 10. Apple Jacks, we eat what we like. Obviously these weren't listed. Those are my reasons. Just to name a few. |

You beat me to it. Although racing does come into play. I just love living in an area where good mountain twisties are less than 5 minutes in any direction. |

these are the best reasons and i love my car ...period. i used to want to make it "better" than everyone else's...but i realized that i just want to make it the best i can. i want to get low times and good performance. not to show up everyone. (it'd be nice once in a while though ) i want my car to reflect who i am. (i am definitly one of a kind ). |

-back in Europe I used to race all the time.... why?? well first of all cops didn't give a **** and second of all - there is nothing better then going down the mountain on 7ft narrow streets.... -but now in Chicago, It's kind of boring, no twisties, no mountains, no narrow streets - only straightaways... and ****n cold weather.... -I don't mind if a bigger displacement car beats me (eg V8), but I do get hard-headed, when some other "ricer" beats me (eg CRX)... -I did get a raise at job, so I have to get my Celi into 13s within 18months (why 18months ?/? because that's when I graduate, then I'll have to mature!!! get a house, wife, kids bla bla)... So till then, say ALLOHA to 13s... |

making sure that those Beamers are that much farther behind me in the twisties. I could care less for 1/4 mile going in a straight line. Utterly pointless.
