Hello my friend.
In Europe, we don't get a choice. The US got 2 body styles. We got one (the good looking one). And better engines..... -------------------- JDM ST205

Heres an example, my car, a hatch, and coomers, a coupe.
The coupe has a seperate trunk, and has a different body style, different rear lights. A hatch/liftback has a "three door" setup, where the hatch actually opens the cargo area and cabin. I'm partial to the hatchback.. -------------------- If anyone needs interior stuff, etc, I'm parting whats left of my celi out. Just ask.

Actually, to me, a US Coupe is the front of a celica mated to the back of a Curren....

I'm pretty sure coupe means 2-door, but since all celicas have 2 doors, the one with the trunk is called the coupe and the one with the hatch is called a hatchback. Also, sounds like it has a 3S-GE.

Geert u have the same engine as i have.
2.0 Twincam or DOHC (Dual Over Head Cam). Mean you got a 16 valve engine. Basicly there are 3 engine types 7a-fe = 1.8 liter released all around the world 3s-ge = 2.0 performance block release everywhere but the US <---- This one we have in our car. 5s-fe = 2.2 economical block released especially for the US because the 2.0 could not pass emitions (correct??) Last but not least the turbo version. The GT-Four. Its a 3s-ge engine with a turbo. About 250 bhp. You will find out all sorts of information about all our celicas here. Almost all the info i have for the 6th Gen Celica i got from here. Good Luck with yours!! You'll learn the engine codes real fast, take 3S-GTE for example. It's the 2.0L turbo found in the GT-4.
3 - Engine Name S - Engine Family - G - Head (F is economy, G is performance) T - Induction (T is turbo, Z is supercharged, N/A doesn't have a letter) E - I'm pretty sure this means EFI Anyone please correct me if I'm wrong. It sounds like a sweet ride. When are you picking it up? -------------------- |
