In order to link to ebay ads you must use this format:
CODE http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7994950225 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...item=7994950225 Not really that great of a deal after you include the import taxes and shipping he's going to charge. I am not sure what objections you have wannabe. To me, this looks like an excellent clip. If I were doing it over, this is exactly what I would look for.
The reasons are: (1) 33,000 miles. Thats like new. (2) ct20b - 300whp capable turbo (3) 540 injectors rather than 440 (4) a/w intercooler (5) more agressive cams (6) better intake manifold (7) The clip is a 1998 which is after they corrected the problem with some Gen III blocks, IIRC. (8) you get the mounts and cables included. Parts availability for gen III is better than it once was. This would make for an excellent project and one fast, reliable car with just BPU. - Jay This post has been edited by jgreening: Aug 24, 2005 - 12:11 PM -------------------- QUOTE(lagos @ Jul 10, 2006 - 1:55 PM) i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this. |

610 (with 6 days left)
750 shipping 200 - 380 "import taxes" 1560 - 1740 Total (so far) That does not include the GT4 hood, bumper, or fenders. Add in the 1400 for the body panels and you're already at 2960 - 3140. I've seen ST205 clips with body panels and projectors go for about 3500 which I'm sure this total will exceed given the 6 days it has left. The only thing this particular clip has going for it is the fact that the rear dif. and axles are included. I also don't think it's a 1998 because it doesn't have projectors. The only place I saw 1998 was on the picture showing the frame number and that was refering to the CCs. LOL I've made the same mistake. I wouldn't say it's a horrible deal just that I've seen better. Shipping seems a bit high and I've never seen a seller make the buyer pay the import taxes. It could turn out to be a great deal if the price stays low but I don't expect that to happen. LOL I would have thought the same thing if I hadn't made the same mistake. My mistake. Now I understand that you are talking about overall value compared to other 3rd gen clips. My point was that a low milage ST205 clip is a hard find and this engine would make some 6gc'er very happy. -------------------- QUOTE(lagos @ Jul 10, 2006 - 1:55 PM) i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this. |

I just want to add to this.... If some one did this swap and they used a gt tranny they could not use the mounts or the shifter cables from this clip.
I've tried it. The e153 tranny im not sure about. DEF -------------------- I will return one day. |

Not to mention - NO NEED for rework wiring hardness, just Extend it, and put all the goodies from the clip to your car and you are ready to go......

hello all
I say this clip when it was at 9 day listing - now that its at six days I'm happy that I am still the current high bidder - but knowing that it will probably go over 2k. My highest bid so far is $1,500 - so any one here want to battle with me over this. I may end up going up to $2,800+ all the fees, but you never know -- good luck to any one who bids against me -- |

The gt cables are now in my car. gt top 205 bottom GT left GT4 right I could check the st185 cables to see if they are similar to the 205's DEF -------------------- I will return one day. |
