You and cone sex can never get this right. Tufy has the z-glyde skirts which are like the VIS knockoffs you have on your car. Look at Magic's car on page 1 of this thread for what the dealer option sides are (sometimes called TRD sides).

Romas, please approximate time to completion so I know how hard to crack the whip on getting the money. Thanks.

Well, here is the deal, found a guy (not localy, from different City but still) who might show up on Saturday with his 96, so i will fit the skirt on his car, cuz they need some work before they will fit exactly like they should (some edges from mold are not cut and left so what they could be sanded down to exact messures...)

If test fit goes 100% ( i asum it will ), so Sunday / monday we are starting mold construction, mold will take about 1-2 days, and after this 1 pair of skirts in a day will be produced.

I will only need money right then i will have all the pairs made and TEST FITTED. so bout 2 weeks from now i asume.

I want all money in to me by Monday January 23rd. If you haven't paid, you will be chided and called bad names. In all seriousness, if we get enough money without you and you haven't paid by the 23rd, you risk losing your spot in the group buy.

This thing started in August, I don't want any flimsy excuses.

Thank you.

Well, thanks god Guy showed up and i had whole day to test fit these bad boys...

BUT (damn i hate all this BUT BUT thing...) there are few issues...

First one - the celi what showed up - before had a front damage, and it wasnt even fixed right, so driverside fender wasnt in a place, i tryed to fix the fender (the placment of it) but i aint wanted to scratch or any other way damage the car... So driver side skirt fitment isnt 100 sure...

Well, day started at 12am and i worked my ass for 4 hours trying to fit these skirts on.. Guys did a good job creating these skirts in UK, but the fitment isnt even easy as it looked at first, cuz people who produced these forgot to sand dont the edges to the right dimension, so practicly these skirts either needed sanding or cutting some parts off them...

As for the pics they are not the best pics, cuz i resurecterd my DAMN sony digi from death, so atleast it worked a bit...

Im adding one ZIP file with all the photos cuz i took a bunc of them so everyone can download it and uzip all these and take a look.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FITMENT PICTURES >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Green marking on the skirts are marking places there are gaps (about 1mm) these will get fixed ones we start production, cuz in these places it needs some fiberglass to be added on.

Another thing - all these skirt what are in a GB will get preffited before packing them and sending them out to the customers to avoid any inperfections and to get fittment near to 100% as posible.

In these pics - skirts arent even BOLTED and they hold up fine, this indicates what they are not what bad in the total, so just check this out and let me know, and if you have Q's - go ahead and ask.

Thanks,
Romas

I must agree.

It's comforting to know we have such a perfectionist producing these.

lol guys - thanks smile.gif But in my country if you do somthing - you have to do it RIGHT from the first time - cuz in a Cars stuff area - if you aint able to make it right - either you will get your arse kicked (not in a full meaning of these words) or either in the end you wount even see the $ for the work you did (like we call this here - get the Horns).

So im just doing my ussual work...

There is another thing what i just thought about - once i saw the car i test fitted these skirts - i thought about one thing - all the cars what we drive have a difference in the body (as to be exact - front feder gaps) this could happen from the little bumps (then you hit someone with the front bumper as for exmpl: side walks and etc)) This will mean what fittment on all the cars MIGHT be different (and it will be, im not even expecting what it was exact....) So i thought about leaving some little extensions on the skirt in the places where they need to lay down on the cars body as good as they have to, so what everyone could mark/sand these down with simple 80 grid sand paper to the shape of the car.

Is this would ba a good idea or not? Cuz i could sand all the GB skirts to the skape of my Celi, but this would not guaranty what all the gaps (front fender/doors and doors/rear fender) will be 100% good.

let me know, and gimme a suggestions if you have somthing, cuz actually this is the first time for me to see / mount aftermarket skirt on a celi, cuz everything i did before was custom fabricated BY the specific car, and was fabricated using the shapes of specific car, so there was no MISS MATCH at all biggrin.gif

If we are just talking a little sanding that is easy, I certainly don't mind. On the other hand, the tolerances from Toyota are extremely small so a well fitting skirt on a 6gc that has not been damaged, should be well fitting on any other 6gc. With that said, I defer to your judgment Romas.

You know why i asked this jay, cuz myne celi IS damaged... And front is damaged, and fenders are out of place... BUT the guy who will work on my Celi (body straightning) is pure perrfectionist, and he knows HOW/WHERE/And how much the tolerance should be... BUT im still a bit conserned about this...

Well, whats other people options? Cuz im thinking what after the new pair of skirts from mold will jump out - i will just slap them on my car and will see hows everything and then i will deside...

My only opinion is that I'd rather have to sand fiberglass than add it.
