Romas, any update?

I will be leaving for a vacation in Florida for a week on Saturday. So, payment may be delayed until I return. I might be able to find internet access somewhere down there and, if so, may be able to pay you before I get back if you get finished with the skirts.

- Jay

Jay - no need of payment TILL ALL THE pairs will be finished.

As on another note - One Brand NEW pair is sitting in my garage. But, as we are still experimenting a bit to find the best way to make them - first pair was done from ONE layer of fiberglass (450 grit of fiber - if this tells you guys somthing). Im trying to make them Flexible what it was easyer to fit them...

First pair came not as bad as i thought. one sideskirt is compleatly perfect - as for another one - guy where in hurry to make first set cuz im leaving for 10 days saturday - so they aint put enouth of MOLD wax so the second skirt stuck in few places - leading to gelcoat to stuck in the mold (little pieces of it).. So, now they will have to resand the MOld, and make another one. As i get back - im hopping to find all the 10 pairs fully finished - and fully perfect.

This is the news for now - im leaving to Mountains for some skiing so i will get back only next Sunday - will update then. Thanks guys.

You should PM doGGy (Romas) and ask if you can have him make you a pair. The skirts shipped to the states come out to 327 USD shipped. I suspect it will be slightly more for Australia.

Update: a few sets of the skirts are complete. Test fitment will be delayed several days as Romas has some body work done to his 6gc. Since he does not have easy access to other 6gc's, completion of the body work on his car is necessary to insure proper fitment. Nevertheless, Romas is committed to this project and group buy and you can all expect to receive your skirts by the end of the month - earlier if all goes as planned.

In case anyone is curious, Romas offered to ship these right away (by just relying on the mold and not fitting them to a celica). He was reluctant to do this because he is a perfectionist but he knows that some people are very anxious to receive these skirts. I told him to wait for the test fit and make sure there are no fitment issues.

x7 lol

Ok ok, back on the tracks.

Today (finally) i checked on how does the production goes, and how much time is left.... And.... i Aint got somthing exsiting..... 3 week in a row there is inormal Cold going on here in Lithuania, temp droped down till -25 / -28 (about -13 in F) at nights and about -18 / -20 during day so working conditions with Fiberglass even in perfectly heated garage is not somthing you can enjoy... Last 2 pairs where made during the coldest days, and left for drying in garage overnight (over night garage temp goes down to 0 or sometimes till -5) and when they where removed from Mold it looked like they where made out of plastic (poliuretanium smile.gif ) cuz of flexibility... This means matterials wasnt dry at all and after they where left to dry out they lost shape compleatly cuz of the plasment.... so we lost 2 pairs witch leaves me on only 3 now.. and we dont know what to do... cuz it is not posible to heat up garage during a day cuz of the chance what heating system might have some problems and could couse fire if no ones is there frown.gif

Either the production will be delayed till weeked and started from early morning and whole day garage will be kept at +25C temp or maybe weather will change.. Lets hope for the second choise...

Here are some pics just for update smile.gif And by the way, this weekend im pushing my SS to garage will try to fix atleast fenders position and test fit atleast the pairs i have right now so i could ship them straight away...

Here is the skirts removed out of the mold
