good to know... I am doing my exhaust in the next few days and most people say leave the resonator in to keep it from being outrageoulsy loud....
I'll let you know what my setup sounds like when i get done... stock header, downpipe and cat, mandrel bent 2.25" back with 2.25" resonator, and Magna Flow Muffler. -------------------- ~Daniel~ No Longer Celica Owner.. moved on to a 03 WRX-EJ207

i love my megan exhaust! no cat, no resonator, 3sgte, and 3" pipe!!! i cant get enough of it ....especially through some tunnels!
go back to stock if you dont like the sound of it.... i have gotten a ton of compliments on the sound of my car and could not be happier with it. my girlfriend has a megan cat back on a wrx and it is bad ass too! hint: put your cat and the resonator back on if you want a car that sounds like a peice of poop getting dragged down the road by a garbage truck! p.s. why did you buy a straight through muffler setup , if you did not want it to be loud? dg This post has been edited by DG_Performance: Aug 22, 2005 - 10:06 PM -------------------- |

i might streatch the truth a little:),
but you are right! she got a resonator(i forgot)... but both of our cars sound good! but they are not too loud.... she got the typical scooby sound and i got a nice deep tone with no resonator! that is my point!! dg -------------------- |

Definitely get a resonator back on. I had a similar experience when getting a new custom catback. Then, the muffler shop (Big Al's) put a resonator back on...so yeah, they should be able to hook you up. |
