i just got my new fuel pump and have to splice the wires and was just wondering which is the neg. and pos. coming off the stock fuel pump. theirs a red wire and a blue wire. iam guessing the red is positive and the blue is negitive but i just wanna make sure. thanks

I thought the fuel pump positive wire was black with a blue stripe. I know that if you cut that wire the car won't start. wink.gif

Edit: Toyota electrical diagrams say that there's a blue wire with a black stripe that's positive, and a white wire with a black stripe that's ground.

but it says to hook up the fuel pump u have to splice the wires togeather

the fuel pump should come with a harness. The harness on the stock pump wont fit into the plug on the new pump. So you cut the plug off the old assembly, and attach the new harness.

thats what i have just cut your old oem harness and solder on the new one you should have direction in with your pump

i just spliced the wires, and it works fine, only thing is is that i dont have my back seats in so its sorta loud but w/e thats what the kicker subs are for smile.gif
