Maybe I need new rings, IDK. My 7A-FE just hit 123,000 and I'm thinking maybe I should use that Seafoam engine treatment. A search showed the original Seafoam topic a few months back and I read it again. It says on higher milage engines, it can remove carbon deposits that originally sealed small leaks.
My questions are: 1.) Do you think 1 quart/1,000 miles is enough to warrant a ring job and seals, or a full rebuild? 2.) Should I expect more problems on an engine thats already burning oil if I use Seafoam before my next oil change? Thanks, Alex -------------------- |

1 quart for 1000 miles is a little excessive. I burn 1 quart for every 2000 miles... and that was after 2 treatments of engine restore additive... I can live with this. for an 11 year olf engine with 127000 miles (U.S.)
