Sus Tech Sway bars Options

I'm calling tomorrow about brakes, I'll go ahead and ask about the sway bars if I don't see a post here when I get up.

Sorry It took so long to reply, but yes they are the new ones, the front install is a piece of cake, the back is quite challenging. I had to drop the gas tank, and pull off the control arms on one side then it was lots of twisting and convincing to get it in. They are great once they are in though, deffinatly love my ride on the sportlines, kyb shocks, and ST sway bars. The ride quality is great, I need some bracing, and I definatly think the shocks are a weekest link in the system, so I will eventually upgrade to the koni yellows.

I know you didn't ask me but I will respond anyway. Next to the 3s, the sway bars were the best performance mod I have done. 50mph right turn on-ramps are quite fun.

haha I think all those 50 mph turns on ramps got me where i am with my busted ball joint.. lol... but once thats fixed..

I deffinatly think these are worth the time and the money. This is my second celica and I had them on my last one as well. They have come down in price and still have the same great effect on the way the car handles. I cannot think of a downside to them.

Looks like sportcompactonly.com will sell you the front and rear seperately. Good news cause only the front causes a problem for me.

I dont think they mean the ride as much, but the handleing. These wont change your ride at all. Thats what springs and struts will do. I think it does however complete the suspension if your not just going for the lowered look.

I have not yet got these, but will soon, and was told by three friends that do auto-x and they say these will make the biggiest diff.

they do effect the stiffness of the suspension. You will feel bumps more, for example, your left tire goes over a bump more of that bump will be transfered into the right side and the chasis of the car because the sway bar is a spring and now you are making that spring stiffer. With that said, no it wont change ride quality worth mentioning, after 1 drive you will not realize the stiffness increase. I will stand by what I say about these, best mod for the celica short of a turbo motor.

its odd, I was sitting at work thinking about getting rid of the Celi, and I thought to myself... Why don't I buy some TEIN coilovers, some ST sway bars, and have the install shop fab me some strut braces... hmmmm AutoX......

No I undid the hangers so I had more play in it, but I would recomend just removing it. I think that might be easier, I just didnt want to get into cutting the bolts off and replacing them.

I've got the ST sways, teins and bilsteins - it's great! I think my weakest link is crappy tires.

Oy.. I think $300 but I'm not so sure anymore - bought them off ebay a while back. LewFX also has them - they're TC's

I have eibachs kybs and sway bars and I agree even with a mild setup my tires are deffinatly my weekest link. Im saving but wheels and tires are not cheep
