I'm trying to remove my brake rotors on the front to have them turned. I looked at the big green book on celicatech and it says with the calipers off it will just slide off. but when i try to remove it it won't budge. It seems as though the spindle nut?? is holding the rotor on. Do you have to take that bolt off or are my rotors just really rusted on there?

thyere prolly just rusty.
there are 2 smaller threaded holes in the rotor, that you can thread a bolt thru to push off the rotor. good luck! -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)

Do what Manny says. -------------------- QUOTE(lagos @ Jul 10, 2006 - 1:55 PM) i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this. |

And in a bit of convenience, the bolts to use for backing off the rotor are the ones used to mount the caliper to the bracket.

the holes he is talking about are on the front of the rotor inbetween two studs, i think they are 8mm x 1.25 -------------------- |
