Did some searches and just want to confirm that I am correct.
For the rears, I would have to buy the full bolton hub? |

Not really, my rear bearing went bad so I just ordered a new bearing. My friend that works at a dealer said I can just take off my hub and have him press on the new bearing.

My understanding was the the rear bearing would require the replacement of the hub? Am I incorrect in that, i could have sworn that is what the chilton said when i looked at it the other day (but lord knows the chilton can / has been wrong in the past)

you don't need the hub to replace the bearing, but i think most parts places sell it with the hub anyways. The toyota by me said that the bearing comes with the hub, but i elected to get an SKF one from napa for 80% cheaper.

What would be the dangers of driving around with a dying rear wheel bearing?Reason for asking is because I am slowly gethering parts for my suspension and would like to do all of them at one go. (replacing whole hub for noisy bearing)

any warn bearings, will just cause more friction and drag. Also could cause a little shaking at higher speeds. If you wait it out a lil bit you'll be fine, but dont ignore it.

I have been driving for about 2 months with a bad bear, nothing has happened. Just a sound and a vibration.
