haha, boost is very addictive.

Exhaust is coming soon, funds are a little low at the moment.
But I do have my samco t-hose coming, so Carlos will be sneezing soon.

hey guys just a small update....

I hooked up the greddy profec b spec II. Wow is this thing awesome, all digital, real time boost readings. Its great.

I turned up the boost to 10.5 psi, this car just keeps getting better and better.
I tryed to "get on it" a little today. I'll have to wait till the roads are dry, I was spinning tires in 1st, 2nd, 3rd then I gave up. When I looked down I was doing about 65 in a 40 hahaha.

I cant wait till its dry out, so I can see what this car can do now. I'll have the exhaust done next weekend, expect videos shortly after. I would like to share 14psi videos rather than 10 psi.

Manny asked me a question.....

Was it (the swap) worth it ?

Hell yes it was !. Once boost gets hold of you, you wont let it go.

Thanks guys,

those 15s are going to spin way to easy... 17s make things a lot better

how do you like that greddy... is it easy to use? does it hold boost well. i was going to get one a while back, but people tell me they are a pain to setup and use.

try 14psi next time

Its so easy to use, I can't understand why people say its hard set this thing. It took me about an hour and half to install it. Then about 20 mins or so untill I figured it out. I think the problem is that people dont like to read the directions.

Dude its awesome, well worth the investment. I can control not only boost. I can control how quickly I want the turbo to spool, and its also a digital boost guage.

I love it.

based on that review, ill have to buy one. i like how it displays how much boost you get in a digital readout. a more realiable way to read boost on an autometer gauge.

Glad you have have good luck with that unit Jeff. Art, you might want to review more reviews of it on mr2oc.com because people have reported mixed success with the spec II on the 3sgte. I have the spec I and it is operationally perfect. There is no digital readout however. You can only get my unit used but Greddy now has a Spec S out that replaced the Spec I which is suppose to be the same.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

thanks guys, I relized I actually have 3 different boost settings. I can turn it off, bringing me into stock boost, push one button into low mode, push it again for hi mode.

I stand by my story, I'm very happy with it. biggrin.gif

jay... i know, i read the reviews in the past. i think one of the conclusions was that there was a bunch of units sold with defective selenoids at one point. and thats what was giving people problems. i talked to at least one other 3s owner that seems to not have any problems with his... so i think i might take a chance and make sure greddy has a good warrenty incase something dosnt work right.
