I have an Autopage and I love it. The car alarm brand isn't really that important...the install is what really counts.

I went with Viper.. I got one from Jason and it wasn't to bad to install and seems to work well and have a lot of features...

my only wish is that the shock sensor was more sensitive...

Most important features are 2-way and range. Other than that, the most important feature as Coomer said is the install. It needs look as factory as possible, that means electric taped and then loomed and also zip-tied to the factory wiring. A few installs I've done, I've actually undone the factory looming under the steering wheel and then ziptie and e-tape to it, then loom it again. Looks so slick and there is no way to tell where the brain is. If you want to use up a full day doing it then do that, otherwise just do a e-taped and loomed install. If you don't take the time to make it look as sleek as possible then don't bother getting an alarm.

it is... but on its most sensitive setting... it isn't as sensitive as I hoped... you have to bump the car pretty hard to set it off... works fine for people opening and closing doors... bumping into it... and hopefully breaking a window...

i got a Crimestopper Alarm, it was cheap (215 installed) 2 remotes, bridgeable(my sis has the same alarm on her car, so if i hit a button i can unlock hers to, after some mild programing) and im happy with it. It came with hood pin(hood gets poped for what ever reason, alarm goes off) hatch pin(same deal as hood, but for the hatch *duh*) and iginiton kill. Not bad for $215 installed.

I just got an Audiovox Prestige Platinum+ APS-590. It has 2-way, nice range, and a LOT of cool features. I'm really happy with it so far.

Get an Autopage with an lcd. They are well worth it! Also, the siren is extra louder and doesn't have the standard 6-tone siren. It has a loud 1-tone siren. I have one on my truck and love it! Ebay has them for about 150.00 new. Make sure you have a good shop install it because installation is what really counts. I once had a viper and uninstalled it. I think viper alarms are overrated!
