Yes you think right,
Yours trully has crashed his Celi into the rear bumper of a Opel/Vauxhall Astra '99. Only thing i could think of: Is my Poster lip still in one piece?!?!?! Happened on a road intown. Just cruising at 25-30 mph when suddenly the car before my car has to turn left and the Opel hit its break, I was like 30-45 feet away but still was to late to hit the brakes. (Wasnt paying attention) So the only words out of my mouth had a little to do with religion and intercourse. Well luckily the damage seems to be minor. Have a very scratched bumper (no cracks at all). Seem like only to lower brackets of the High beams are pushed inwards. Gonna have to further inspect it this weekend. The front bumper does not line up correctly in front of the hood (on the right side the rubber between is under the hood instead of in front of) Maybe the crossfender (or whats it called) is bent inwards but i am afraid to look. -------------------- JDM Powerplant installed, BPU coming very soon!

Seems to be ok. Friend of mine is here and we looked closer to the actual spots. So i already wanted the front bumper resprayed( hit and run 2 months ago) So it will not be so bad.
So it seems only the rubber strip=metal has to be bent outwars about 1/4 inch + respray + mounting lower right highbeam bent to correct spot. Me a little more happy This post has been edited by Kadett: Aug 10, 2005 - 9:39 AM -------------------- JDM Powerplant installed, BPU coming very soon!

Thx guys,
Decided to go for a full paint job. Because the doors are at the brake of rusting underneath and the body has some minor scratches scuffs etc etc that cant be polished out. Also the back bumper is cracked. I want to "shave" the back license plate just like playr538. So a little modifcation below the bumper is necessary. Ordered the custom lifter blocks from doGGy. Hope to recieve them in 2 weeks so when the car is done they can be put on as soon as the are molded and painted. But for now its all waiting. -------------------- JDM Powerplant installed, BPU coming very soon!

Nope. But i am so LUCKY. I actually slided under the car in front of me. So it could have been worse and cost me a total new bumper :S
Now its all scratched up and no cracks. So still on the lucky side i guess! -------------------- JDM Powerplant installed, BPU coming very soon!

Glad you and your Celica are OK.
I had a redneck in a Dually back into me and My high Beams are also pushed back on the bottom. I already got the respray done (Thanks Toyota for the free paint job!) but my High beams look kinda funny. When you figure out how to fix this ill you PM me how you did it? Thanks in advance. -------------------- |

Still deciding. It will either stay black or its going to be painted black metallic. There are 3 reason not to go with a other color. - Black is the best color for a sports car. (Not including Ferrari red ) - My Postert Front lip only looks good in Black/Black Metallic - I dont wont to open the hood and see a black engine bay with another exterior color. And it will take to long to get everything out and repaint then fit it al back in. -------------------- JDM Powerplant installed, BPU coming very soon!
