Oh and a little statistics: more than 200 cars came People gathering at the parking lot and having fun: Love this one The new skyline (looks crap) While waiting for everyone to arrive people had burnt some rubber This post has been edited by _rz_: Aug 30, 2005 - 5:59 AM |

No it's not really legal. Having fun on the mall parking lot and burning rubber is legal until someone comes and tells you to stop it The drag strip was located 30 miles from the city center. And this time no authorities came to stop the insanity There are times when police from the city comes and makes everybody leave but most of the times the organizers manage to give a bribe to the locals There is a saying here in Russia: that "The strictness of the laws are compensated by the unnecessesity of abiding them". You shouldn't take this too seriously But there's almost always a way to organise something like this. |

Let me guess.... 80% of nissan people where extremly rich parents kids (like we call them here Novie Russkie ) Da?
It was fun as i see Nice pics. And by the way... I have some bad news for Toyota Moscow team, the nissan im building now exterior will soon be delivered in Moscow. Its a Nissan Sunny (pulsar in Japan or Uk) GTiR, few years back this car set the record of 1/4 mile here in Lithuania (11.xx or somthing like this ) And now this car was sold to some Russian Kid living in Moscow... Its a total Drag race car (with no interior and etc, Rollcadge and few other stuff....) 550 hp was with the old setup, now the target is about 600 hp for this car...... -------------------- Ex celica owner - just a guy from other side of the pond...

Not sure about the skyline kids parents Could be ... But most of the people were very nice and interesting to talk to. And about the pulsar... hmmm - very interesting. There were two pulsars at the meet. One of them raced with a modified st185 and they went head to head in first and second gear - so a 600 bhp one would be a real killer. The bad thing is that the 600 hp Skyline didn't turn up at the racing strip for some reason, even thou it was at the parking lot where everybody met. There was a 500 hp soarer with AT - but I didn't like the way it performed. The final score was 9:9 (since some of the results weren't counted for some reason) |

The lass with the 350z looks a real stunner....looks like a fun night. Nice photo`s `rz`.Looks like a well organised event. Is all that street racing legal over there or do you still have to run when you hear the cops coming?

awesome pics..wish i could go. we have something similar (but way smaller) in tallahassee here. we have persmission in a parking lot at night, that we can chill, and we get like 30+ cars out. if you want to race, call them out, drive to the interstate (2 min. away) or find an empty road.

im pretty shure thats for racing purposes i dont think they'd want to have fatty rims on there (too much weight)
-------------------- the 1/4 doesnt have patience for a ST.... so we make them ST-T's so atleast we'll sound good going slow.

Plus, those rims look smaller than the stock rims would have been |

Yeah it's a Nissan Pulsar GTiR. Can be made to go really fast, but their engines and gearboxes are as soft as sh!t. Believe me, i had one and put three engines in it. Eventually sold it to a mate who is now on his second engine with it !
