Ok so I'm looking into removing my power steering pump to reduce that strain on the engine. I can live without power steering, I've driven cars that have been much worse without power steering, I can definitely handle the Celi without it. I know I'll need a shorter belt, which I can do, but I've been looking into what to do with the fluid system. When I had my Prelude, I looked into doing this mod and I had seen a lot of guys had done it to a Prelude and put a breather/snorkel on the fluid line so the fluid wouldn't be under pressure without the pump. Make sense? Is there a mod like this I could be able to do or should I just keep PS and keep saving for my lightened flywheel and clutch lol

isn't the belt also connected to the A/C?
I'd say just get rid of both if you can live with it. I got No P/S and A/C on my, but its pretty easy to drive without P/S......as long as the tires are rotating.

isnt it supposed to be easier if u remove the pump and drive w/o power steering pump than it is if u turn off the car while driving and try to control the car with a power steering pump?

i really cant see this draining much hp from a car. the only time its really working hard is when you are trying to park or at very low speeds. i would just keep it the way it is.
