My car needs paint. My car's trunklid and license plate bezel are rattle-canned so they don't match. My roof, both rear fenders, and both doors are deeply keyed. My spoiler has some notches in them from a prybar. Each door has one tiny door ding. My rear bumper has a scratch. My front bumper has license plate mounting holes even though my plate is mounted below behind a grill post.
And worst of all, my car is attention-whore-bright-ass-pearl yellow. Photos don't do it justice...you can see me coming from a mile away. Everyone loves the color and makes a face like they want to puke when I tell them about my new color that I want to go with. But I'm really wanting to paint my car. I want to add sideskirts and extensions and shave the front license plate mounting holes, sidemarkers, antenna, and then fix the two door dings I have. Then I want to pull the front bumper and fenders and engine, clean the crap outta my engine, and paint my engine bay and car. I want to paint everything an olive-green sort of color, like this: What do you guys think? And do you think someone could photoshop my car with '94-'95 OEM front extensions, OEM Curren rear extensions, and the VIS Z-Max sideskirts(like these), and the color change?

I think that might be alright. That a color that no Celi has. I saw another color similar to that at Cleveland HIN, I'll see if I can find a pic.

To give my honest opinion. No it wouldn't look nice. If its gonna be like the Honda in the photo. It will be exclusive because no one has the color. But it reminds me of army vehicles.
But hey, everyone taste is different. If you want it, go for it, and yeah, take out the engine so the engine bay can be sprayed as well. Dont forget the trunk+lid! -------------------- JDM Powerplant installed, BPU coming very soon!

I'm not sure about the olive drab honda color. If you want green, what about the 1994-1999 BMW 3 series green? It's a really nice metallic green color that catches attention but isnt that bright. This pics good but it looks better in person

You asked for opinions. IMO, that color is.....not good. There are a lot of good choices out there. Keep looking bro!

i agree, i would keep looking. if you really like it than do it, but you dont paint a car that often so think long and hard what you want and wont get tired of in a couple months. the shade of green in the manta 5x is pretty slick and would be unique but for the army green honda. heres another darker green.
maserati green -------------------- I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside. |
