Well, I have been here in P.R. since the first of August. I had the intercooler piping redone and got a Magnaflow exhaust which is quieter and prettier than the Focuz one. I have been boosting 12 PSI all the time trying to break the engine but so far, so good. EGTs don't get high, there is no detonation...hell...it smokes those 17" rims like they're butter. I am very happy with how the car feels...for being automatic. Even at 25% throttle, off the line it'll pull very hard and you can hear the turbo suck like a Hoover vac. I haven't had time to take it to the dyno for a tune, so I know it has more potential. With the bigger, better I/C piping (last one was restrictive and not mandrel bent), the turbo surprisingly spools quicker and the BOV sounds way louder...it hurts the ears inside the car at just 5 PSI. At 12, it's too loud and I have had people curse at me and give me the one finger salute on the road...it's awesome, hehe. I still have to install the new struts and the stock springs back on...the roads are too bad here. Anyway, I am trying to get a battery for my camcorder so I can record some footage before I leave this Monday. Well, miss you guys...talk to you soon when I get back to Virginia! =)
Ramon PS: I will post pics of the car shortly! -------------------- |

OK, I am back in Virginia as of last night and here is teh skinny: I got my first ticket EVAR in my 8 years of driving...80 in a 45...I have to pay $250. That was in August 10. The cop was waiting at the end of a straightway in the mountains. He was cool about it but I didn't realize he still gave me the ticket. My friend that was with me was the one who told me I got the ticket. Oh well...so I could only record a couple of quick 6.5 PSI bursts but still, the speedo climbs quicker than stock, LOL...you can see the boost controller show 65. The camera didn't capture the nice sound of the exhaust and engine...it replaced it with raspy noise, hehe. Anyway, I will upload it tonight. It's too bad I couldn't record downshifts...that's when the magic happens.

OK, here is one for now:
http://oobe.myftp.org/turbost/oobe-6psiburst.wmv Keep in mind I don't go WOT from the get go...I gradually give it gas. It doesn't look fast but it pulls hard...you can notice when I let go the gas how the camera jerks, hehe, I am holding it with the right hand, hehe. In this one, it looks a bit more powerful. I give it WOT from the get-go and the tire spins, hehe. It's funny how I can never hear them screech but from outside the car, you can see them spin and the car not go too far, hehe. -------------------- |

Like I said, I couldn't record a high speed run...after that $250 ticket, I got VERY paranoid...I got pulled over so many times in those 2 weeks, LOL...my first ticket ever in 8 years, damn it. With the Focuz muffler, I never had a problem and it was WAY louder than that new Magnaflow one. :/ -------------------- |

Last one for tonight! I was gonna keep going but I saw a car at the end of the road and thought it was a sneaky cop. My dog-radar served me right, because it was indeed a sneaky cop, hehe, I am lucky I stopped before. *joke mode* Man, cops are becoming a pest to me for the first time in my life, hehe. =p This post has been edited by OOBE: Aug 16, 2005 - 10:53 PM -------------------- |

Yeah, I was. Man, cops back home don't play around...they could care less, hehe. I got off two exhaust tickets by mercy of God and because they were not the "gray Mustang cops"...but the speeding one was unavoidable. If you get pulled over by any cop in a gray '04 Mustang GT, you are getting a ticket no matter what...they hold a rep for being merciless, hehe. That's island-wide.
