ight...when i accelerate i hear a kinda ticking hissing noise..almost like a lawn sprinkler...now i did just replace my midpipe b/c that had a bad leak at the flex join but it is still making that noise...anyone have any ideas?

buy a car stethoscope for 15$. you can use it to pinpoint the source of the sound

can anyone else think of what it might be...also if i shift at low rpms i tend to get a top end backfire (throught the intake) right below 3 k....im thinkin that prob has to do with timing...
