alright, this intake i have on acts weird. i think it is because of the tubing being to wide but when i throtle little more then normal, the rpm just shoots up to 5k. obviously, its sucking too much air. but my friends suggest its not the tubing since i setup looks fine. (By the way my intake was built by me, which is probably the reason why its acting like this) i don't have any pics but do you guys have any suggestions about this situation? Like why the rpm jumps to 5k when i get on it.

sorry if it makes no sense.

From my eperience, this has nothing to do with you having an intake, id say maybe a vaccum or something else, i may be wrong so someone else correct me if im wrong:).

well the clutch feels fine, like nothing is slipping or anything. i don't really know how to check a clutch but. i don't know. maybe.

i should probably get a new intake? and see what happens?

When I first read your problem, I thought it might be your clutch, too. Have it checked out, because that's one of the signs that its time for a new clutch.

Edit: Also, you can diagnose your CEL yourself by bridging the TE1 and E1 connections in the diagnosis box under the hood.

all i have to say is you'd be ignorant to say its not a clutch and an intake.....an intake will not make your rpm just go from idle to 5k when you tap the gas......
a burnt out CLUTCH WILL.....

(i'm not saying it is the clutch....but right now you have a rating of 99.99% clutch or other and .01% intake)
just think about it

i say put the old stock intake on and if it still jumps in rpm.. then it's the clutch.. new clutches are awesome anyways..

you don't really "check" anything.....
when your driving basically really easy to figure it out if its BAD
let the clutch out in say 2nd gear and gas to the floor if RPMS move more then they should you have a bad clutch that easy.....
