Yesterday I finally finished up a long-term project...my '88 Celica GT. I paid $400 for this car with 132,000 miles on it...it needed a valve cover gasket and a tranny fluid change and new filter, and brakes all around. Now all of that's done, the car has a CD player and power options and everything, and it now has somewhat nice paint and wheels, all for under $1,000, including the price of the car.
Here are some progress pictures: And here it is now: It looks like a 4x4, but it's all good...the rims are coming off shortly and it's going to be my bro's first car when he turns sixteen in less than a month. It should be a good first car for him.

Thanks for the comments guys.
QUOTE(celicaboston1983 @ Sep 13, 2005 - 12:40 PM) nice car did you spray the car urself? Yep, sprayed it myself and did all the work myself. It's John Deere Blitz Black paint, which ran me $26 for a gallon and should be plenty durable. I didn't do a perfect job with the body work as you can see in some of the pics, but it's fine for my bro. QUOTE(WannabeGT4 @ Sep 13, 2005 - 12:54 PM) Nice job. I like the satin/flat black. P.S. Yakima is classified as desert terrain...the irrigation water is the only reason why there are trees here.
