I got smoked by a Talon Options

This guy was fast. He was on my butt on a freeway offramp. I saw a big tach in there, hit the gas and he passed me like 3 of my plug wires fell off! Are they turboed?I was like f*** I need a turbo. It was embarassing. At least he did not smile.

you dont know about the talons? www.dsmtuners.com its probably the fastest, cheap car you can buy. expect to be fixing it everyday because the build quality sucks ass.

i'm on dsmtuners now since i've moved on to the dsm world...half the time dsm are ****, but if u build them right, and building them right is cheao...f^%k they will piss on honda, toyota, nissan..anything..i rode in a 420a, yes 420a with 30lbs of boost..thats ****in unheard of in the 420a area...he was dynoed with a stock head and 93 pump gas at 490 whp he was pushing 530 when he had his race head on...sry art, i gotta defend my dsm pride on this one

dont get me wrong, im a dsm fan myself and know a few people who own very fast ones. i also came very very close to buying one instead of doing my swap.

one big problem about the dsm is that its a great engine, mated with the cheapest body, suspension, tranny, diff and driveshaft in the world. people normally buy them, have some fun and sell them when they are sick of fixing them on a daily basis.

im about to join the DSM world. a guy on my team is buying a eagle talon 1st gen it was listed with hks sport turbo and hks t-timer and boost controller so ill see about all that on wednesday when we go to look at it. im anxious to get my swap completed so i can run him on the 1/4 :-D

I have a 2nd g talon Tsi, it was sweet in its prime but really its just not reliable. yes turbo and all wheel drive, that was nice. Premium gas, that was not...

IMO i'd take a Galant VR-4 or Mirage VR-4, I had a FWD TSi and it was alright never had many problems with it but an auto isn't the most desireable, in your case it was most likely a turbo or a 420a with a bunch of bolt-ons.

i just picked up a talon TSI tonight, tried to drive ti home and it died completely, sat for 6 months and now has a bad tick from intake side in the head. are they hydraulic lifters? anyways this is a celi forum so anyone that has answers please PM me or get my AIM from my profile. thanks! the head comes off tomorrow.

I just totaled my 94 Talon TSi AWD Turbo two weeks ago (75mph into a tree,no seatbelt,not a scratch)(dont ask how) damn I loved that car. I had it dynoed at 247Hp. Easily the best allaround car I've had.
