It might be time for me to move on to different things. Do not post here with the intention of Honda/Acura bashing. I will not let that fly in my thread.

If you have experience with a standard one or a Type S...let me know! I have yet to drive one but I am interested in them. Give me your information. I know the Type S engine is rather potent, but what about the normal one? Any info would be hot. I'm browsing Clubrsx.com now.

ive driven a premium, type-s, super charged type-s and turboed type-s....gotta love duin a co-op placement at a tuner shop biggrin.gif Premium's are ok, even with the triptronic they r still pretty quick. The ex had one, got it up to 220km/h with no hesitation what so ever. Type-S are nice from the factory, not much body roll, quick, good size inteior, a lil raspy when u really giver from the exhaust. Jackson super charged Type-S with a big boost pulley runnin 13PSI = AHH!!!...First two gears, feels like ur drivin a slightly quicker than stock type-s, 3rd gear and hold on for dear life. Turboed Type-S = AHHHHH!!! Times 6!..lol I helped build this one and jockied it around the shop when it was there. Only sat in the passanger seat when they launched it. But yea, RSX = great car, great bang for the buck and pretty damn fuel efficent. My ex's premium, $25 with 94 octane to fill.

and a link to the article that Performance Auto and Sound magazine did on the car. They didnt include my name on the article because i was only a co-op student and all i did was install the sway bars, seats and helped out Joe(the owner of the shop) install the BOV and part of the turbo kit.

My good friend used to have a RSX Type-S. I drove it a few times and it was a sweet car! Good power from an awesome engine(that responds VERY well to bolt-ons), super-smooth six-speed, good handling...I never drove it too hard for fear of wrecking or breaking someone else's car, but I loved every aspect of the car.

My best friend used to own a 05' RSX Type-S n/a with comptech catback, DC sport headers with cat and o2, and a ramair intake, with coolant bypass mod on the throttle body and strut bars everywhere(all custom made), plus poly motor mounts front and back (makes a huge difference but only if u dont mind vibrations in ur car). we had a hard time launching on 18s at the drag strip.

it was taken away from us before we got the chance to be the first boosted 05' RSX in WA (the ecu presented a problem for tuners we found a way around it without standalone).

Ill edit in a few when i can get pics uploaded of it.

IMO- Best car from acura/honda for its purpose its the only A/H I give respect to in performance.

Before - Nice new and FAST

After - Stolen and hit a tree....

Oh... BTW...

I've raced the PISS out of our shop's EP3 Civic SI (with K20A2 swap)... The EP3 Civic is about 90% the same as the RSX in terms of suspension, chassis, subframe, engine, brakes, drivetrain, etc. I've also driven many RSX's and they are great driving cars with super smooth engines. Check out the video... =D
Also note: The engine is fully tuned with Hondata K-pro on Toda N2 Cams... or IPS cams... I forget which were being run at the time... but it was on cams... and all of the basic bolt-ons of course... =]

thats exactly what i was thinking
it's great in terms of performance but man, it looks too much like it got crushed. What happened to all the nice curves sports car had?

Anyone thinking about frankenstiening that engine into our celica? probly cheaper to buy a supra i figure, lol

user posted image
went off the side of the road duin roughly 130km/h, hit a hill, flipped 3 times and landed on the roof. She got out it with a few minor cuts from the windsheild, and a few minor bruises. And that was a stock RSX..well stock other than a AEM short ram and some neons.
