when it comes to under the hood im not an expert on these type of things...so imma make it a simple question...can i take my car to a toyota dealer and have the idle fix?...how much would it cost?...i mean it's pretty bad!...LMK guys

what do you mean by idle fixed? Is it too low, too high?

Shakes?

when the idle is rough, that ussually means you need to do a tune up. If that doesnt help, it can be another problem.

To answer you question, you can take your car to a toyota dealership for almost anything. but it will cost alot.

it shakes like crazy...im no expert on things under the hood...money is not an issue to me so i guess i can take it to a shop...

true if you take your timing light and set it to 14 degrees the timing mark should be on zero.... a steady zero... now i had a problem with that, i found out that i had a worn timing belt because when i took the timing light and pointing it to the mark i notice it jumping from 0 degrees to 5 degrees... basically it just wasn't a steady reading. Dont listen to anyone if they say it does that because of a misfire. So then i replaced the timing belt and now its hitting directly zero and the idle got a little better. Now Im not the greatest mechanic, but i know a little. Just try that out.
