Is there a way to check the Check Engine Light codes on these cars without taking it to a dealership and paying them like 80 dollars to just get the code. i know that on most hondas there is a way that you can check it yourself without paying someone to do it. Some one...........PLEASE HELP!!!

thanks

check the how to s ... or you can just connect the TE1 and E1 with a papyer clip since you have a 95... (in the little box on driver side of the engine bay .. above the main fuse box) ... then turn your key to the ACC position and read the flashes...

it is really weird, i tried that and nothing happened. so i started the car and then drove it down the road and then the light came one again. so i pulled back in the drive way and tried to pass the code again and as soon as i shut the car off and turned it back on, the light was out and when i set the jumper, there was no code. does this sound really weird to any one else???

Might be a soft code but I doubt it. make sure the key is on engine off when you jump the 2 test points.

i tryed the t1 te1 thing or whatever and it didnt work for me either. my guess (could be wrong) is that its different for obd II cars, but im pretty sure the 95 gt is obd I, so i donno. i brought it to an auto place, they said o2 sensors for me, and i replaced both of them and it fixed the code.
