well from your profile i assume your still with the stock steel wheels for the st? if so, save up and buy a set next. hub caps are just ugly, plus larger wheels will make a nice difference in handling. i suggest 16's.

ACTUALLY if you want my opinion...since you already have a cai & exhaust why not get the header to further remove restriction of airflow? otherwise ain't sh*t goin on really!
then maybe after that you would maybe consider brakes/suspension/drivetrain remember you can't see your rims when you're driving but you can feel the clutch/throw of the short shifter/suspension/brakes as you drive! so what if a few GUYS look @ your car? !!!have fun driving it!!!. cuz a girl isn't gonna look @ your car and wanna screw your brains out right off the bat! remember that. I like your posts. The only thing I'd have to say different is that maybe some stock 5 spoke alloys off a 6th or 7th gen might be a good idea. Or whatever rim really. The steel wheels are skinny, heavy, and really look bad. I'm all about performance, and I think this would be the next step. That, and getting rid of your neons. Next, lower the car a little with springs, and put some bigger sway bars on. The Celica is not a fast car, that's a fact. It can be helped by intake, exhaust, headers, ECU, exc. But it won't be to fast unless you swap in a 3s. It can however be good at handling. I personally have kept my upgrades even between engine and suspension, and I'm reasonably happy with it. But in all seriousness, get rid of the neons. Just my opinion. -------------------- Live Free, Be Happy

remember that a free flowing exhaust isnt necessarily going to net hp gains. an engine's valve overlap is designed to take advantage of the phenomenon known as engine scavenging. by decreasing backpressure a number of problems may result including a low in low end torque. heres an article i found real quick for ya http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/backpressure.html this is why i am planning on buying my exhaust setup when i install my turbo. what i am trying to tell you is not to waste your money on a damn header, it will look nice, but just start saving for a turbo or a swap if you want performance. and kill the neons .

Im not going the turbo route or a swap maybey a small nitrous set up in a year or so but mainly I just want basic perfomance out of this car and then in another year I plan to get a project car and just drive this one around while I fix up the project.

I've done this, and all I've seen is quicker revving when in neutral. If you have to replace the clutch, and flywheel, then go for it, but don't take out good parts and these in. -------------------- Live Free, Be Happy
