i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

Most people will agree its a scam, but one or two people here defend it. I guess, if you feel lucky, try it, but it's probably not a good idea.

well i also saw it in a couple magazines and it was advertised... it seems like a pretty good deal, they will hook you up with free stuff up until you reach 500 dollars, then they charge you some fee. im just put it aside.

I tried it, they were gonna give me a free cheapo tint kit and just a buncha coupons. totally not worth the money. And I had the "chance" to get a sponsorship for the 2005 Hot Import Nights season (which is mostly over lol) and ya, it just seemed like a bunch of bull. I asked for a refund before they even sent me the offers though because it all seemed like bull. Definitely not worth it I would say.

If they were gonnna sponsor you it would be free with cash, not the other way around. 89$ for a cheapo tint? NO WAY!

almost all sponsers work the same way. They give you a discount or a limited free stuff and in return you take your car to certain events. If you can't make it to the event, your car goes anywayz. The myth of sponsers giving you thousands of dollars or thousands worth of free stuff is exactly that, a myth.

yeah, so sponsorships when you plan on going to these shows and all already is a good deal, but if you just want a sponsor to give you free stuff and you don't want to do anything for it then you're not going to find a sponsor.

Not exactly, yes you have to have a clean and nice car but you don't necessarily need to be an all out "attention getter." As long as that company feels they will be promoted in a good fashion and will get the advertising they will sponsor you. And either way a sponsorship is good whether (sp) it be a partial sponsorship or a full sponsorship. I personally perfer the full sponsorships and turn down most partial sponsors. But at the same time I have gone through alot of work to acquire these sponsors. Not only in the work done to my car but with making a proposal and sending it to the companies as well as checking up on the process (just like a job application). It's isn't as simple as asking a company and they say yes, which alot of people think it is. There is a good mount of dedication and responsibility that goes into be sponsored. You also have to prove your self to the companies so they know they can trust you to promote thei products and give them a good name.

Okay I'm done now....sorry for all the writing.... biggrin.gif

Later,
Christina

Out of curiosity, who are you sponsored by and what kind of perks do you get?
