I have a Pioneer Premiere HeadUnit. While Installing my new ST205 cluster, I took apart the center panels where the CD player goes and I was messing with the cigarette lighter wires(which were disconnected and just laying there because thats where my nitrous purge button used to be. Well I accidentally touched those 2 wires together(green and the other white/black stripe)... Some little smoke and a very low "zzz" was heard. Lol. Then my CD player turned off and I'm trying to get it to work again but it isn't. I checked the fuse on the plug of the back of the HU but it looks perfectly fine. It's a "10" red fuse. I don't know what to do about that. My friend told me that the fuse is there so if it shrts, it'll prevent it from happening. But the fuse looks perfect and that crap still won't work. Any suggestions to what I should do? Thanks...
note: I know Premiere has a 2 year warranty but I think I had to have bought it at an authorized dealer. And I didn't... So there goes the warranty. Lol. Please help as soon as possible because it sucks driving without music. Oh yeah, and my Eminem CD is stuck in there! Lol. -------------------- ![]() |

QUOTE(LewFX @ Sep 26, 2005 - 4:45 PM) try the regular radio fuse in the fuse box, try resetting it. Genius. Damn, I can't believe I didn't think about that! Thanks man. I'll try that when I get out of work. EDIT: Damn and I was just looking at that this morning. It said "CIG&RAD" Something like that. I thought it meant Radiator. Lol. I guess that means Radio then. Thanks. This post has been edited by JoKeRkId613: Sep 26, 2005 - 7:03 PM -------------------- ![]() |

Yeah you should watch what you're doing...installing an ST205 cluster (decent ammount of electric work) yet you let two live wires just touch? Hmmm...and radio fuses don't blow...period. I have maybe seen it happen once in my whole life if being an installer.
