my buddy is selling a blitz 3sgte air filter of his mr2 and i asked if it will bolt straight on a 5sfe.. he says if the AFM on the 3sgte is the same on the 5sfe, then it'll fit. can somebody confirm that? i need a new filter because my airbox has a big crack in it.
this is how the base of a similar filter looks like: -------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |

you'll need to custom an adapter to make it fit.. 5sfe don't have AFM if i'm not wrong. i bought a APEXI power intake filter. gonna get a adapter customed for it to work.

QUOTE(lagos @ Sep 25, 2005 - 7:46 PM) no it wont fit just buy a cheap civic intake like most people do here's one i found online: it's for 96-98 civic cx/dx models. is this the same gen civic that'll work with our cars? if so, i'm going for it. $5 bucks plus shipping on e-bay... i won't be losing much even if it didn't work or just didn't like it. besides, x-mas is just a few months away. -------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |

Yea you can make that work. Even if you go to like Wal-Mart any more they carry Civic intakes for cheap. But you'll be able to make just about any somewhat similarly shaped short ram intake work on the GT.
