Well guess what ..???? Thursday came....and had a fuel leak between the fuel line and the filter, and another from the fuel rail..... A few hours later and the rail was fixed and a new fuel line from the tank was made from dash 8 braided hose.... One more check and turn the key..........NOTHING.........click click click the battery was flat.....How gutted was i..??
Charged the battery over night and went in friday..... Battery seened to be ok but still no start.......click click click.....AGAIN....Looked like the battery was stuffed..... Sat, Sun, Mon had to go in to work... TODAY..... got a new Battery... a nice blue top optima.... Hooked it up and click click click.........Starter motor was F#@ked all along... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh........ Tune in thursday for the latest bad news from this dreaded 5sgte build.......... -------------------- 312whp with more to come.... |

I would have loved to push start the car.....only thing is its a brand new engine and it to build up oil pressure.
Tonight it happened....... A new starter went in and it turned over fine without spark... Oil pressure went to 75psi and a small leak appeared from behind the filter relocator... (stupid me forgot to put in the rubber O-ring.... derrr) Tune in for tomorrows update.... -------------------- 312whp with more to come.... |

Yesterday was like being at the hospitle waiting for your first child to be born....
I must have walked 5 mile up and down the workshop floor... Checking for the vital signs, but nothing happened....... It seemed like it was a faulse alarm.....no spark... A few hours later and some tracing of miles of wire, it seemed like it was really gonna happen, but again no spark... So a re-think started and the old 5sfe dizzy was taken apart... Problem found....It had been modified buy the guy who first installed the standalone. The trigger wires were changed from the old setup and corrected for the 3sgte dizzy......And at last a flickering light from the end of the sparkplug appeared... This ment life was well on the way.......A few mins later and a beast was born. A MONSTER 5SGTE.... -------------------- 312whp with more to come.... |
