Hey , While doing a tune up I noticed that the person that owned the car before me could not poor oil worth a crap and I took out the #1 spark plug and noticed alot of oil on the spark plug . Do you think that this could cause the #1cylider to misfire or not fire at all . I need to know before I pay someone to run diagnostics on the cylinders.

shouldn't be a huge deal as the oil would've had to have gotten up into the boot and even then a film of oil on the plug probably wouldn't hurt it. Just replace the spark plugs and clean out the oil.
If you *have* noticed that the engine seems tired or sounds like it's skipping, then run a compression test.. - aba This post has been edited by abatardi: May 8, 2003 - 12:14 PM |
