The project is starting on thursday. Im gonna cut the sheet metal after work. I gutted the rear of my car and pulled off the outer frame. Two problems i have encountered are an extra sheet of sheet metal on the inside and a brace for the convertible top. So I got to cut under the brace. I wanted the bottom to blend in with the door indentation line, but thats not going to happen unless I cut 3" out of the vent. I don't want to do that because it takes away from the look. The vent is very deep and theres nothing in the way. Heres the vent mocked up with tape. it will be rivited in then molded and the rivet heads grinded off so you cant see them. heres some pics of the vent taped to the body.

nice work, but im not a fan of side vents. I feel they look/are stupid unless u have a MR car or a RR car. I saw some guy on ebay or somethin with a celi with them and he said "funcinal". Extra air conditioning??
