will it work just as well as metal being welded back in this tiny holes. i am getting everyone saying that bondo will eventually break loose after a while thats why u have to have little pieces of metal welded back in there. could i not weld and put fiberglass in there instead and it hold forever and on or will it be like the bondo and fall out eventually and how eventually??? just curious i am having issues with my wing as u can see it is costing me more money than i would like to spend on a damn piece of fiberglass. anyways any help would be appreciated. thanks

Fiberglass will not bond to metal, Bondo will, Id say just bondo.. that is what it is made for.

Your best bet is to get the holes welded from the inside, then use a very thin coat of good body filler(not Bondo...something like Rage Gold works very well.)
You may be able to get away with fiberglass though. Fiberglass does bond to metal very well actually. The problem is that when it is subjected to heat, fiberglass and metal don't expand at the same rates at the same temperatures, so the bond can break and crack. I patched a couple holes with fiberglass on my brother's car, and they've held up fine for over a year. But the best way would be to have metal welded. Whatever you choose to do, don't just fill the holes with body filler. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...

You wont be able to bond on the dynamat. I would just use a fiberglass based shortrand filler personally. The dynamat the bottom of your trunk. Put metal tape at the bottom of the hole, and fill from the top |
